Kitefin Shark Jaws
This Kitefin Shark Jaws measures 3 inches wide and 3 inches tall & 2 inches deep. The Kitefin shark is related to the cookie cutter, named because of the way that they attack other fish, biting and spinning 360 degrees biting a perfect circle of flesh from their prey. They often leave their prey wounded but not dead - well not straight away.
This Sharks Jaw has an impressive 5 rows of teeth on the lower jaw and 5-6 on the upper jaw! This Kitefin Shark jaw is slightly skewed, but can easily be reset by you if desired. Simply soak in tepid water until the cartilage becomes slightly soft, adjust position and air dry. Simple.
The Kitefin shark has the most unique jaws out of sharks, and they are often pictured as this one is - upside down. The larger triangular teeth are in fact that of the lower jaw. The kitefin shark's teeth are amazingly interlocked with each other & they therefore shed their teeth as a whole row.
